WHAT IS AN ARCHITECTURAL CLADDER?
Architectural Cladders focus on the design, fabrication, installation and repair of architectural components of buildings including various types of sheeting for roofs and walls, louvers, soffits, flashings, skylights, and more. Workers in this trade have finely developed technical and creative skills that allow them to design and fabricate ornate and decorative metal features from start to finish. They have the ability to read plans and specifications, operate specialized tools and metalworking machines, fabricate products of the desired dimensions and properties, use specialized welding techniques for various metal alloys, inspect work for quality, layout and fabricate components, and repair materials. Architectural Cladders work primarily outdoors. This is a physically demanding trade and requires considerable effort in lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling and working on high sloped surfaces.
